In the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was recognized as one of the years' most popular teen stars. In 2004, Vega completed filming two short films: Sleepover and State's Evidence. In 2005, she starred in the Lifetime television series Odd Girl Out, as a victim of cyber-bullying. In 2006, she appeared in a different TV movie made for television, Walkout; and finished filming Remember the Daze, which premiered in theaters with a limited release in April 2007. She completed filming Repo! The Genetic Opera was released in the year 2008 Aram Rappaport composed and directed Helix in Chicago. The production began March 2008. Vega was initially cast as the lead character in Robert Rodriguez's film Shorts. Then, as she was located in Australia working on Broken Hill at the time, it became necessary to replace her. Kat Dennings replaced her. She was on Broadway in Hairspray, as Penny. Her character Ruby Gallagher was on the ABC Family TV sitcom Ruby & the Rockits in 2009. The show also starred Patrick Cassidy. David Cassidy, and Patrick Cassidy. Vega portrays Wick in The Devil's Carnival (2012) directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, and Terrance Zdunich. The two previously worked together with Vega for Repo! The Genetic Opera. (12) Vega was a part of Spencer Grammer, Kathryn Morris and Rob Margolies in 2br/1ba throughout 2012. Vega has also appeared as the woman who is pregnant as a pregnant woman in The Pregnancy Project, a Lifetime Channel film. Her animated movie The Clockwork Girl has been completed. The film Vega directed, The Mine, which was filmed in 2010 got a limited release/screening. Vega was also the voice of Christina in the animated show Unsupervised as well as a guest part in Royal Pains. Vega appeared as a girl on the music video of "Legendary child" by Aerosmith. [13]
